Preventing and resolving difficult situations

Me Thierry Bériault is a certified mediator and lawyer. Since 2005, he has conducted more than 450 mediations, mainly in the workplace in the private, public and parapublic sector. His vast experience in conflict management led him to act in complex files where there were important relational aspects as regards labor relations, psychological harassment, group dynamics, management teams as well as relations between partners or shareholders. Me Bériault is a specialist in mediation processes, which he teaches in the master’s program in dispute prevention and resolution at the University of Sherbrooke. His expertise also leads him to train mediators in Canada, Europe and Africa.

Me. Bériault has been working with AAESQ, QPAT, Human Resources and the Directors’ General of the English School Boards for the past 2 years developing an understanding of conflict resolution and dispute prevention and resolution. He continues to work with all 9 school boards on this dossier.

The sessions he will lead at this year’s Spring Conference will deal with how to prevent and resolve difficult situations within our schools. He will present tools and approaches to be used in this work.

This will be a 3-part session with a registration limit of 30 delegates.  It will require pre-registration and will be first come first served.
